ShaadiSeason (“we”, “us”) is a wedding planning tool built for Indian families. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how it's handled, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). By using ShaadiSeason you agree to this policy.
Your guest list and shagun (gift) ledger are the most personal numbers in this app, and we treat them that way:
Your data is stored with our database provider in the Mumbai (ap-south-1) region and backed up on an encrypted, weekly schedule so a device loss or accidental deletion never means losing your plan. Backups are retained only as long as needed for disaster recovery and are deleted on the same rolling schedule.
Vendor profile and gallery photos are collected during an in-person verification visit by our team, with the vendor's explicit consent recorded before any photo is published. Vendors may request removal of their photos or profile at any time by contacting us; we do not publish guest faces or private event photos without separate, specific consent from the people shown.
Under the DPDP Act you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete your account and associated plan data. Deleting your account removes your guest and shagun ledger permanently, subject to the encrypted-backup retention window described above. To exercise these rights, use the delete/export options in Settings, or contact us directly.
We use a database/authentication provider to store your account and plan data, and a transactional email provider to send sign-in links and lead alerts to vendors. Neither is permitted to use your data for their own marketing. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on ShaadiSeason.
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date above and, where the change is significant, notify signed-in users by email.
